Auri ("the app") is an ebook and PDF reader for Android, published by the developer listed on the app's Google Play page. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
Auri does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not collect or sell your personal data. Your books and reading activity stay on your device. The only third party involved is Google AdMob, which serves a single banner ad and may use your device's advertising identifier to do so.
Auri requests no storage permission at all. It cannot browse your device on its own and never asks to. Books reach the app in one of two ways, and both begin with you choosing something:
File names, contents, covers, and your reading progress are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded anywhere by the app. Your own files are only ever read — never modified or deleted.
Auri shows one banner advertisement on the library screen, served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain data to serve and measure ads, such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, and coarse ad-interaction data. This collection is performed by Google under its own policies:
You can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in your device's Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
Optional extras — offline narration voices, ambient sounds, and the dictionary — are downloaded on demand over the internet from the app's public asset repository. These are plain file downloads; no personal information is sent with them beyond what any web request technically includes (such as your IP address). The app also fetches a small remote configuration file at launch to control app behavior (for example, whether the banner ad is shown).
Read-aloud narration uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine or an offline neural voice downloaded to your device. In both cases the text of your books is processed on your device and is not sent to us. If you choose to configure an optional third-party cloud voice provider with your own API key, the text being narrated is sent to that provider under its own privacy policy.
Auri is a general-audience reading app and is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Because your library and reading data live only on your device, they persist until you delete them or uninstall the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local data.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
