Beat Music and MP3 Player · Last updated: 29 June 2026

Beat Music and MP3 Player is an offline music player. Your music, playlists, favorites and settings stay on your device. The app has no account or login, and we — the developer — do not collect or store your personal data on any server of ours. The app does show banner ads through Google AdMob, and includes an optional "Auto-fix song info" feature that looks up song details online only if you turn it on.

1. Overview

Beat plays the audio files already on your device and saves your playlists, favorites, play counts and settings locally. We do not run any server that receives your data, and we do not sell or share your personal information. Two features do use the internet, and they are described in full below: advertising (Google AdMob) and the optional online metadata lookup.

2. What we do not collect

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app displays banner ads using Google AdMob, a Google advertising service. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect and process information such as a device advertising identifier (Ad ID), IP address, and ad-interaction data, in line with Google's own policies. This is standard for free, ad-supported apps.

4. Optional online metadata ("Auto-fix song info")

This feature is off by default. If you turn it on (in the Smart screen or in Settings, or by confirming the one-time prompt), Beat sends the name/title text of a song to one or more public music catalogs — Deezer, Apple iTunes Search and MusicBrainz / the Cover Art Archive — to find the correct title, artist, album, year and cover art, and then saves those details into your song file on your device.

5. Permissions and why they are used

6. Where your data is stored

Your playlists, favorites, play counts and app settings are stored locally on your device. If you create a backup, it is a small file saved to your own storage and shared only where you choose to send it. Corrected song details from the optional metadata feature are written into your own audio files on your device.

7. Third-party services

8. Children's privacy

The app is a general-audience music player and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app shows ads, parents should supervise use by children.

9. Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change.
